Frequently asked questions
How long should my Dodge engine last?
Dodge uses a number of different engines in its vehicles, including the Hemi, PentaStar, MultiAir Turbo, and Viper. They are some of the best engines in the world. Most engines today will last for between 200,000 and 250,000kms if they are taken care of and have regular oil and filter changes. As your Service Advisor specific questions about your engine.
Is Mopar protection worth it?
Your existing vehicle warranty offers solid protection. Still, it’s a good idea to get additional protection. The great thing about Mopar protection plans is that they are flexible and can fit any budget. Plans are available for new, pre-owned, and lease vehicles.
How do I maintain brakes on my Dodge
Get your brakes checked at the proper intervals. You can help your brakes last longer by adding more distance when you approach a stop and apply the brakes gently.
How often should I change out air filters?
If you drive in a polluted or dusty region, check your air filter when you have an oil change. A clean filter can improve your mileage by 10% and increases the life of your engine. We recommend using the same filter your engine came with on day one – a Mopar filter.
How often do I replace my fuel filter? Which brand do I use?
Fuel filter replacement varies according to brand and model. Your owner’s manual will give you the correct interval on when to change your air filter. Or you can ask a Service Advisor for the proper replacement interval for your vehicle.
How do I know when to replace my battery?
You’ll probably know when your care needs a new battery. The headlights may be dimmer, or the engine may take a while to start if it’s not been used for quite a few hours. Bring your vehicle to us and we can test your battery for you.
How often should I keep my tires rotated and aligned?
Follow the schedule in your user’s manual for your make’s rotation and alignment schedule. Potholes, bumps, or curbs can throw wheels out of alignment. You may notice the steering pulling in one direction when you’re driving. When you park, you may notice uneven wear on your tires. If you hear or feel anything unusual when you’re behind the wheel, or spot uneven tire wear, bring your vehicle to us for an inspection.
How often should I check fluids on my Dodge?
Give your fluids a visual check at least once a month and top them up if required. Obviously, you can’t see all fluids, and that’s why we check all fluids at every service – even if they’re not due for a check or a change. And of course, we top them up if required, too.
